About Carlos Cruz
Carlos Cruz is a professional coach, corporate, community and personal motivational speaker, and trainer, accepting English-speaking clients from all countries. Carlos, a former member of the US Navy, founded A Path to Success, and he is an experienced small business owner and consultant. Carlos is known for his straight-forward approach and no-nonsense, problem solving skills. He consistently provides the highest level of support to his clients. His word is his bond, and his clients count on Carlos to keep their confidences. He is honest and always has his client's best interests in mind and heart.
Following His Path
In 1988, shortly after graduating Aviation Vocational Technical High School in New York City where he studied Aviation Maintenance Technology in Airframe and Powerplant, Carlos left home for the United States Navy. Carlos spent the next 12 years specializing in satellite communications and information technology.
During his time with the United States Navy, Carlos was proud to earn the rank of First Class Petty Officer. First Class Petty Officers are generally recognized as the first line of leadership for the U.S. Navy’s workforce, often responsible for the day-to-day supervision and overall operation of a work center or division. Additionally, they serve as Sailor Advocates in crucial communications that span the chain of command.
Prior to earning his rank of First Class Petty Officer, Carlos earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist (ESWS) classification. The ESWS program encompasses areas of study applicable throughout the Navy, and ESWS personnel are trained and qualified to perform duties aboard United States surface warships. The ESWS program also reflects a level of qualification above and beyond the normal level of professional performance criteria necessary for advancement.
Shortly after completing his service in the United States Navy, Carlos joined the Bank of America team as Vice President, Consulting Systems Engineer, and he later joined the General Dynamics team as a Project Manager. Carlos has also held contracting positions for several Washington, D.C. agencies, and he is a talented and energetic small business owner, operating his personal and professional coaching business, as well as a media group production company.
Carlos believes there are three essential leadership qualities to look for when choosing a speaker, coach, and trainer: life experience, professional training, and an ongoing commitment to rigorous self-examination and self-development. With his continued, sincere committment to developing and integrating these leadership qualities for himself, Carlos has built a firm foundation, and he is seriously dedicated to earning and maintaining your trust.
